The plano 2026.1 release (May 2026) is based on Microsoft .NET 10; maintenance for this version (including bug fixes and security updates from plano) is planned until spring 2028. Earlier releases remain on .NET 8 and will not be migrated to .NET 10.

With the planned release of plano 2026.2 (Fall 2026), plano will discontinue support for versions 2024.1 and 2024.2.

For versions 2025.1 and 2025.2, which will remain on .NET 8, plano will continue to provide application patches. However, Microsoft will no longer maintain the underlying .NET 8 platform after Microsoft’s end-of-support date in November 2026. As a result, we cannot guarantee the security and stability of older .NET 8 branches to the same degree as for plano 2026.1 on .NET 10. Customers who remain on .NET 8 should take this into account in their risk assessments and deployment planning. The planned deprecation of plano 2025.1 and 2025.2 is scheduled for 2027.
Starting with version 2026.1, SQL Server 2019 will no longer be supported. Please plan ahead to migrate to a currently supported version of SQL Server.

As of plano 2026.1, Crystal Reports–based web terminal reports in the ESS will no longer be supported. Please review any existing reports and, if necessary, plan to migrate them to an alternative supported reporting format.

What´s new in plano 2026.1

More convenience, less effort

The new content type “Auxiliary account” and the reposting rule “Age” simplify and speed up the modeling of time-management processes.
